BCA Strategy

Strategy of the BCA during the next five years:

Beekeepers have founded BCA to carry out the following activities:

  • Activating cooperation and community participation between beekeepers and different parties:
  1. To establish a link between beekeepers, government institutions and civil society organizations.
  2. Creating cooperative relations and signing agreements with number of local and international institutions
  3. Holding consultative meetings and organizing local seminars, panel discussions and workshops on various apicultural topics.
  4. Activating community participation among beekeepers to contribute to develop rural communities.
  5. Creating opportunities for cooperation between beekeepers to contribute to alleviating bees problems.
  6. Promote social solidarity among beekeepers and contribute to alleviate bees' disasters.
  • Qualifying beekeepers and specialists in the field of bees and providing them with income-generating technical skills:
  1. Organizing training courses for beekeepers, in addition to qualifying specialists on training mechanisms in cooperation with various research bodies.
  2. Providing services to researchers to carry out a number of bees researches in bees' research apiary of BCA in collaboration with research bodies.
  3. Providing technical consultations to the relevant bodies to BCA and beekeepers.
  4. Implementation of various extension programs (library, lectures, meetings, exhibitions, issuing bulletins and periodical journal…).
  5. Introducing informatics festivals for local products to educate consumers about its importance.
  6. To follow up the adoption, implementation and development of beekeeping laws in the Kingdom and to raise awareness of beekeepers and bee-related institutions about these laws.
  • Provision of different services for beekeepers:
  1. Provision accessories of bees and roaming beekeepers at affordable prices.
  2. Supervising members' apiaries and solving their problems.
  3. Establishment of bees projects (providing accessories, bees, labor, etc…).
  4. Development of marketing of honey and bee products.
  5. Encourage beekeepers to roam with bees (providing transport vehicles and labor and extension).
  6. Encouraging investment in beekeeping and production of bee products (building production apiary of Association for commercial purposes).
  • Manufacturing variety of beekeeping accessories and production of various bee products:
  1. Manufacture of various modern bees hives and modifying local hives.
  2. Manufacture of various bees veils and suits.
  3. Manufacture of local bee tools (solar extractors, queen cups, pollen traps, wasps traps, propolis traps, etc…).
  4. Produce and distribute local nutritional mixes to beekeepers at reasonable prices.
  5. Utilizing beeswax waste for beekeepers, collecting it, re-manufacturing and bring it to bees again.
  6. Compilation of local, natural and distinguished honey and extracting on grades and then packaging and marketing.
